On this 22.d day of September 1847  Personally appears Bennett M Thomas
before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County and State
aforesaid and acknowledges the foregoing Bill of Sale or instrument of writing
to be his Act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and the act of
Assembly in such case made and provided

Bill of Sale from
Philip D. Sutton
                to
Andrew Armstrong
Know all men by These Presents  That I
Philip D. Sutton of Anne Arundel County and
State of Maryland for and in consideration of the
Sum of One dollar lawful money of the United
States, in hand paid by Andrew Armstrong as
Trustee for the Benefit of all (said Suttons) creditors at or before the sealing
and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge, Have
granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant bargain and sell
unto the said Andrew Armstrong Trustee as aforesaid his Executors administrators,
and assigns, One bay horse aged about nine years One bay mare
aged about eight years, One two horse waggon, and all and every other species,
of property whatsoever, whenever and wherever to be found, that is at
this time Owned held or claimed by me, the said Philip D. Sutton the said
described property   To Have and To Hold as Trustee his executors
Administrators and Assigns forever and I the said Philip D. Sutton
for my self my Heirs, Executors and administrators, the said described
property unto the said Andrew Armstrong Trustee his Executors Administrators,
and assigns against me the said Philip D. Sutton my heirs
my Executors and Administrators and against all and every other person,
or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend
by these presents
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Second
day of October eighteen hundred and forty seven
Signed Sealed and delivered
       in the presence of               Philip D. Sutton   (Seal)

Baltimore City S. S.

    Be it remembered That On this Second day of October 1847 before
the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for said appears Philip D. Sutton
and acknowledges the above instrument of writing to be his act and
deed, according to the true intent and meaning thereof
