and thing herein contained shall cease and be utterly null and void, any
thing herein contained to the contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding

    Be it remembered that On this Thirtieth day of August in the year
Eighteen hundred and forty seven before the subscriber one of the Justices
of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for the County of Anne Arundel
personally appears George W Wright the Party Grantor in the foregoing Deed or
Instrument of writing and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed
for the purposes therein mentioned and the Goods and chattels therein mentioned
and thereby bargained and sold to be the right and Estate of the
said D.r John Ridout his heirs and assigns forever according to the purport
true intent and meaning of the said Deed or instrument of writing and the
Acts of assembly in such case made and provided

On this 1.st day of September in the year 1847 before me the Subscriber the
Justice of the Peace aforesaid personally appears D.r John Ridout the
mortgagee aforesaid and makes Oath that the consideration set forth in
the above deed of mortgage is true and bona fide as therein set forth

Chaney of Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland
for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty
five dollars current money, to me in hand paid by
Elisha Marriott of the County and State aforesaid
at or before the ensealing and delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof
I the said Isaac Chaney do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and
sold, and by these presents to grant bargain and sell unto the said Elisha Marriott
