his executors administrators or assigns the sum of Seventy Seven dollars
and fifty cents current money with interest for the same, or or before the first
day of January 1849 then this Bill of Sale and every matter and thing
therein expressed shall be void and of none effect it being the true intent
and meaning thereof that the said Crop of corn and fodder, and
Ten head of hogs are mortgaged by me the said Isaac Chaney to secure
to the said Stevens Gambrill the payment of the money aforesaid
       In Witness whereof I the said Isaac Chaney have hereunto set
my hand and affixed my seal the eighteenth day of September One
thousand eight hundred and forty seven

Maryland Anne Arundel County      To wit

On this 18.th September 1847 before me One of the Justices of the peace
in and for said County appears Isaac Chaney and acknowledges
the foregoing writing to be his act and deed, according to the true intent
and meaning thereof, and the act of Assembly in such case made and
provided
                         Witness my hand            Sam.l Gott

Maryland Anne Arundel County   To wit

On this 18.th September 1847 before the subscriber a Justice of the peace
in and for said County personally appears Stevens Gambrill (Mortgager)
and makes Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the
consideration set forth in the above Bill of sale is true and bona
fide as therein set forth      Witness my hand

Henry Maynadier of the City of Annapolis
in Anne Arundel County Maryland of the
One part, and John B. Nichols and Caroline,
Nichols his wife of the same place of the Other part witnesseth
That whereas the said Caroline on the 17.th day of June in the year 1846
whilst she sole and unmarried by Indenture of mortgage duly
executed acknowledged and recorded among the records of personal estate
conveyed by deed in Anne Arundel County Court in Liber J. H. N. N.o 1
