and disposed of to M.rs Rebecca Francis Bryan at and for the same sum of One
hundred and fifty dollars as aforesaid and having received payment in full from
M.rs Rebecca Francis Bryan do by these presents transfer and set over to M.rs Bryan
as aforesaid and to heirs and assigns the said Negro woman Phillis free and clear
of all incumbrances from me my heirs and assigns or any person or persons claiming
under me any right title or Interest in the same either at Law or in Equity the said
Negro woman Phillis being a slave for life

Be it remembered that on this thirteenth day of August 1847 personally appeared
before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace for County aforesaid and acknowledged
the above Instrument of writing to be his act and deed for the purposes therein

Bill of Sale from Freeborn
            G. Waters
                      to
Susan Green
Know all men by these Presents That I Freeborn
G. Waters Executor of Charles Waters dec.d of Baltimore
City and State of Maryland for and in consideration
of the sum of Twenty five Dollars lawful money of the
United States in hand paid by Susan Green of Anne
Arundel County and State aforesaid at or before the sealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have granted bargained
and sold and by these presents Do grant bargain and sell unto the said Susan
Green her Executors Administrators and Assigns   One negro Boy named Lemuel
about seven months old to be free at Thirty five years of age of the property
of Charles Waters late of the City of Baltimore dec.d and slave to serve until he
arrives at the age aforesaid and thereafter to be free and discharged from all
servitude agreeably to the form and effect of the last will and Testament
of the said dec.d  The said negro being sold and conveyed by me as Executor
and in virtue of the power and authority vested in me by said last Will and
Testament   To Have and To Hold the said described negro Boy Lemuel for
the term of years aforesaid but no longer to the said Susan Green her Executors
Administrators and assigns
In Witness we have hereunto set Our Hands and seals this tenth day of August
Eighteen Hundred and Forty Seven         F. G. Waters Ex.r of Ch.s Waters   (seal)
