216. as Executor and in virtue of the power and authority vested in me by said last Will and Testament To Have and To Hold the said described Negro Boy "Phil" for the term of years aforesaid, but no longer to the said George R. Webb his Executors Administrators and assigns as aforesaid In Witness whereof we have hereunto set Our Hands and seals this third day of July Eighteen Hundred and Forty Seven Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of F. G. Waters Exec.r (Seal) Joshua Stewart of Cha.s Waters decd Geo R Webb (Seal) State of maryland Anne Arundel County SS. Be it Remembered That On this third day of July 1847 before the Subscriber a Justice of the Peace for said County appears F G. Waters Executor as aforesaid and George R Webb and acknowledges the above instrument of writing to be their Act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Acknowledged before Joshua Stewart Baltimore July 13.th 1847. I hereby certify that on the day of the date hereof came F. G. Waters Executor of Charles Waters deceased before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland for the City of Baltimore and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration mentioned within was a bonafide Consideration for said Boy Sworn Before William Warfield Recorded the 20.th day of July 1847 Ex d d costs 1½ paid 6 sides
at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have granted bargained and sold and by these presents Do grant bargain and sell unto the said James E Williams his Executors Administrators and assigns One Negro Girl named Mahaley about Eight years of age of the property of Charles Waters late of the City |
