State of Maryland   Anne Arundel County Sc.t

On this Eighteenth day of May Eighteen hundred and forty seven personally
appeared Richard J. Tayman and Laura Virginia Tayman
his wife before us the subscribers justices of the peace of the County and
State aforesaid they being known to us to be the persons described in
the foregoing instrument of writing and Acknowledged the same to be their
act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and the said Laura Virginia
Tayman being by us privately examined apart from and out of the presence
and hearing of her said husband whether she doth make her acknowledgment
thereof voluntarily and without being induced to do so by fear or threats
of or ill usage by her said husband declareth and saith that she doth

Bill of Sale from Robert B. Chew
                       To
B. M. Campbell
 Know all men by these presents that
I Robert B. Chew of Calvert County in the State
of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum
of Five Hundred and fifty dollars current
money to me in hand paid by B. M. Campbell of the City of Baltimore in said
State at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof
I the said Robert B. Chew do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained
and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto teh said
B. M. Campbell his executors administrators and assigns One Negro Man
named Charles about twenty two years of Age, To Have and To Hold the
said Negro man above bargained and sold to the said B. M. Campbell
his executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said Robert B.
Chew for myself my heirs executors and administrators the said Negro
Man unto the said B. M. Campbell his executors administrators and assigns
against me the said Robert B Chew my executors and administrators and
against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant
and forever defend by these presents
In witness whereof the said Robert B. Chew has hereunto set his hand
and seal on this the 22.d day of May 1847
