To Have and to Hold the said described Negroes for the terms of years above
mentioned To Wit Lloyd Eliza Joe and Delia but no longer to the said John
Gardner his Executors Administrators and assigns as aforesaid
In Witness whereof we have hereunto set Our Hands and seals this Eighteenth
day of May Eighteen Hundred and Forty Seven

Subscriber a Justice of the Peace for said County appears F. G. Waters Exec.r
as aforesaid and John Gardner and Acknowledges the above instrument of
writing to be their Act and deed according to the true intent and meaning

J. Tayman & wife

William W. Cooksey
Know all men by these presents that we Richard
J. Tayman and Laura Virginia Tayman his wife for and
in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to us
in hand paid by William W. Cooksey at and before
the Sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby Acknowledged have granted bargained
and sold and by these presents do grant bargain
and sell unto the said William W Cooksey
the following negroes to wit Barbara Mary Ann Lucy Watt Nace Maria
Eligebed ^Angelica^ Cooksey and Sarah Ann Amelia Cooksey children of the said
William W. Cooksey by marcus S. S. Warren late of Prince Georges County
deceased as by reference to the will of said marcus now of record in the offices
of Register of Wills of said County will more fully appear
To Have and To Hold all the undivided interest of the said Richard
J Tayman and Laura Virginia Tayman his wife in and to the said Negroes
to the said William W Cooksey his Executors administrators and
assigns forever and to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever
In Testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals
this Eighteenth day of May Eighteen hundred and forty seven
