State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit

Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on this First day of May in
the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty seven before the subscriber one
of the Justices of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for Anne Arundel County
aforesaid personally appears James Trainer he being Known to me to be the person who
is named and described as and professing to be a party to the foregoing deed or
indenture or instrument of writing to be his act and deed
In testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name on the day and year aforesaid

(Bill of Sale) from Freeborn G. Waters
                               To
           Rebecca Waters
Know all men by these Presents That I Freeborn G Waters Executor of Charles
Waters dec.d of Baltimore City and State of Maryland for and in consideration
of the sum of Twenty four hundred and seventy dollars lawful money of the
United States secured by note to be paid by Rebecca Waters (widow of the late
Charles Waters) of the City aforesaid at or before the sealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged   Have granted bargained
and sold and by these presents Do grant bargain and sell unto the said
Rebecca Waters her Executors Administrators and assigns One negro Boy named
Amos" about 13 years old to be free 1.st day May 1868 one negro Boy named Saul
about 10 years old to be free 1.st day May 1874 one negro Girl named Rose about
12 years old to be free 1.st day May 1870 one negro Man named "Smith" about
22 years old to be free 1.st day January 1859 one negro Man named Little "Tom" about
8 years old to be free 1.st day May 1870 one negro Girl named Caroline about 6 years
old to be free 1.st day may 1867 one negro man named Toby" about 24 years old to be
free 1.st day of January 1853 and one negro Boy named Harry about 10 years old to be
free 1.st day May 1871 of the property of Charles Waters late of the City of Baltimore
dec.d as slaves to serve untill the periods above stated and thereafter to be free and
discharged from all servitude agreeably to the form and effect of the last Will
and Testament of the said dec.d  The said negroes being sold and conveyed by me as
Executor and in virtue of the power and Authority vested in me by said last Will
