one thousand Eight hundred and forty seven, personally appeared
William Bryan and Joseph Selby Williams Parties Grantors and Henry
E. Ballard, Party Grantee in the aforegoing Bill of Sale, before me, one of
the Justices of the Peace of the County aforesaid where the said sale was
made, appointed by the State of Maryland in and for Anne Arundel County
and acknowledged the said Bill of sale to be their act and deed for the
purposes therein mentioned
            And I do hereby certify, that I am satisfied of my Own Knowledge
that William Bryan Joseph Selby Williams and Henry E. Ballard
the parties who made the above acknowledgment, are the persons
named and described as and professing to be the Parties to the foregoing
Bill of sale

Know all men by these presents that I Thomas H.
Jones of Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland
for the sum of One hundred and twenty dollars to me
cash in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivering,
of these presents have granted bargained and sold
and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto
W.m T. Jones of the County and state aforesaid the
following property to wit two Cows four Oxen One calf five sheep four hogs
one horse 1000 pounds of tobacco and four barrels of corn and I the said
Thomas H. Jones do warrant and defend the above described property
to the said W.m T. Jones his heirs executors administrators and assigns
against me my heirs executors administrators assigns and against all
and every person whatsoever
In Testimony whereof I have hereunto signed my hand and affixed
my seal this third day of May 1847

State of Maryland A. A. County to wit

On this third day of May 1847 before me the subscriber a Justice of the
peace for the state aforesaid in and for the County aforesaid personally appeared,
Thomas H. Jones and acknowledges the foregoing instrument
of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and
meaning thereof and the acts of Assembly in such cases made and
provided                                                   Joseph Chaney J. P.
