And I the said Henry Maynadier for myself my heirs executors and administrators
the said negro woman named Louisa and her said children
named Aaron Solomon and Grace unto the said Henry Purdy and
Galen Purdy their executors administrators and assigns against me the
said Henry Maynadier my executors and administrators and against
all and every other person and persons whatsoever claiming by and
through me shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents
In Witness whereof I the said Henry Maynadier have this twenty seventh
day of April in the year eighteen hundred and forty seven hereunto set my
hand and affixed my seal

    At the foot of the foregoing was thus written to wit

State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit

    Be it remembered that on this twenty seventh day of April in the year
eighteen hundred and forty seven personally appears Henry Maynadier the
party grantor within named before me the Subscriber a Justice of the peace
for said State and in the said County and acknowledges the within Instrument
of writing to be his act and deed and the negroes therein mentioned and thereby
bargained and sold to be the right and property of the within named Henry
Purdy and Galen Purdy parties grantee also therein named their heirs
and assigns forever according to the purport true intent and meaning
of the said instrument of writing and the acts of Assembly in such case
made and provided I personally knowing that the said party grantor
is the person named and professing to be the party grantor in said instrument
of writing                                          Acknowledged before

Williams of Anne Arundel
County and State of Maryland
for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars current
money to me in hand paid by Nicholas W Goldsborough of the City of
Baltimore and state aforesaid at or before the ensealing and delivering of
these presents the receipt whereof I the said Editha Williams do
hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Nicholas W.
Goldsborough his Executors administrators and assigns the following
