of January eighteen hundred and sixty three (1863) and thereafter
to be free and discharged from all servitude agreeably to the form
and effect of the last will and testament of the said decd the said
negro being sold and conveyed by me as Executor and in virtue
of the power and authority vested in me by said last will and
testament.  To Have and To Hold the said described negro man
Anthony for the term of years aforesaid but no longer to the said
Richard J Worthington his Executors administrators and assigns as ^aforesaid^
In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this
seventh day of January eighteen hundred and forty seven
Signed sealed and delivered                 F. G. Waters "Executor
in the presence of Joshua Stewart            of Chas Waters decd"   (seal)

At the foot of the foregoing was thus written to wit

                                   State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Ss.

Be it remembered That on this seventh day of January 1847 before
the Subscriber a justice of the peace in and for said County appears
F. G. Waters exr as aforesaid and Richard J Worthington and acknowledges
the above Instrument of writing to be their act and deed
according to the true intent and meaning thereof

Bill of sale from Freeborn G Waters
to James S Waters dated the sixth
day of January eighteen hundred
and forty seven
Know all men by these presents
that I Freeborn G Waters
Executor of Charles Waters
de.d of Baltimore City and State
of Maryland for and in consideration
of the sum of two hundred and sixty dollars lawful money
of the United States in hand paid by James S Waters of the City
and State aforesaid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained
and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said James
his Executors Administrators and Assigns one negro Girl named Hager
about ten years old of the property of Charles Waters late of the City of Baltimore
dec.d as a slave to serve unto the first day of May eighteen hundred and seventy
(1870) and thereafter to be free and discharged from all servitude agreeably
to the form and effect of the last will and testament of the said deed.  The
said negro Girl being sold and conveyed by me as Executor and in virtue
of the power and authority vested in me by said last will and Testament
To Have and To Hold the said described Negro Girl "Hager" for the term of years
