Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit

On this twenty first day of December 1846 before me the Subscriber
one of the Justices of the peace in and for said County appears Margaret
Stinchicomb and acknowledges the foregoing writing to be her act and
deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the Act of
Assembly in such cases made and provided

Henry Maynadier to James Turner
Bill of sale dated the 31.st day of December
eighteen hundred and forty six
Know all men by these presents
that I Henry Maynadier of
Annapolis State of Maryland
for the consideration of the sum of
two hundred dollars current money of Maryland to me in hand paid by James
Turner a free coloured man of Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland
the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained
sold and delivered and by these presents do grant bargain sell and deliver
unto the said James Turner a negro woman named Rebecca about forty two
years old and wife of the said James Turner and her four children one named
Mary about six years old one named Dennis about four years old one named
James about two years old and one named Len about four months old
which negro woman Rebecca and her four children as above named I will
warrant and defend to the said James Turner his Executors administrators
and assigns against me my Executors and administrators and
against every other person or persons whomsoever  In witness whereof I
have hereunto set my name and affixed my seal this thirty first day
of December eighteen hundred and forty six
In the presence of W.m Glover                     Henry Maynadier   (seal)

At the foot of the foregoing was thus written to wit

State of M.d Anne Arundel County sct.  On this 31.st day of December
1846 personally appears Henry Maynadier before the Subscriber a
justice of the peace in and for the State and County aforesaid he being
being the person who is described as and professing to be the party to the
aforegoing deed or Indenture and doth acknowledge the said deed or
instrument of writing to be his act and deed.  In Testimony whereof
I hereto subscribe my name on the day and year aforesaid
Recorded the 6.th day of Jany 1847   Acknowledged before   W.m Glover
