twenty five years and her two sons James and Louden infant
child now at the Breast of the said Lethy James aged six years
and Louden about five years which said negro Slaves I do hereby
warrant to be sound and healthy in body and mind and slaves
for life.  To Have and To Hold the said negroes so described as aforesaid
to the said George Hayden his executors and administrators to his
and their only use and behoof and to and for no other use intent or
purpose whatsoever.  In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand
& affixed my seal this eighteenth day of December eighteen hundred &

       At the foot of the foregoing was thus written to wit

       State of Maryland
                                  Anne Arundel County to wit
On this eighteenth day of December eighteen hundred and forty six
before me the Subscriber a justice of the peace of the said State in and
for said County Edwin W. Duvall and acknowledges the foregoing
instrument of writing to be his act and deed for the purposes therein
mentioned                                                               W.m Glover

day of December 1846
Know all men by                             (State of Maryland stamp)

I George Hayden of Anne Arundel   (              cents               )
County in the State of Maryland
for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars current
money to me in hand paid by Edwin W. Duvall of the said County
and State at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained
and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said
Edwin W. Duvall or negro man named Henry Wings aged about twenty
six years which said negro I do by these presents warrant to be sound
and healthy both in mind and body and a slave for life.  To Have and To
Hold the said negro so described as aforesaid to the said Edwin W Duvall
his executors & administrators to his and their only use and behoof and
to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever  In witness
whereof I have hereto set my hand & seal this eighteenth day of
December eighteen hundred & forty six
