Riley before the subscribers justices of the peace of the State of Maryland in and for the County aforesaid they the said Nicholas and Elihu being the parties grantor and grantee in said deed respectively and acknowledged the said deed or instrument of writing to be their act and deed Acknowledged before and certified by Recorded the 28.th day of October 1846 Tho.s N. paid by Brice T. B Worthington of the City of Annapolis and said State at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Nicholas J Worthington do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and released and by these presents do grant bargain and sell and release unto the said Brice T. B Worthington his Executors administrators and assigns all my right title and interest of in and to a negro slave named John Adams jointly purchased at the public sale of the personal property of the late Dennis Boyd of the said County and State deceased and since held by myself the said Nicholas J Worthington and brice T. B Worthington and at the date of these presents in my possession in my possession by contract of living with the said Brice T. B Worthington of January 1.st 1846. To Have and To Hold from the first day of January next ensuing the date thereof the entire the entire and several property in the said slave above bargained sold and released or mentioned and intended so to be to the said Brice T. B Worthington his executors administrators and assigns forever In Testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this twenty seventh day of October in the year eighteen hundred and forty six In presence of W.m Glover Nich.s J Worthington (seal) Received this 27.th day of Oct in the year eighteen hundred and forty six two hundred and fifty dollars in full of the consideration of the within deed Nich.s J Worthington State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on this 27.th day of October eighteen hundred and forty six before me the Subscriber a justice |
