of the State of Maryland in and for said County Edwin W Duvall and
acknowledged the aforegoing instrument of writing to be his act and
deed for the purposes therein mentioned  And I do further certify
that I am satisfied of my own knowledge that the said Edwin
W. Duvall is the person named and described as and professing to
be the party bargainor therein mentioned

Bill of sale from Passmore McCullough
to William McCullough dated the
sixteenth day of November 1846
Know all men by                        (State of Maryland Stamp)
these presents                             (                one                 )
that I Passmore McCullough of   (                 Dol                )
the City of Annapolis in the
State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred
and fifty dollars due and owing from me to William McCullough
of Cecil County in the state of Maryland and for and in consideration
of the sum of fifteen hundred dollars jointly due by me to Hiram M.cCullough
and George McCullough of the same County and state and for
the purpose of securing the payment of the several sums respectively
due and owing as aforesaid in the manner hereinafter mentioned have
granted bargained and sold assigned transferred and set over unto
the said William McCullough Hyram McCullough and George
McCullough all my right title and interest in and to two boats
now in my use management and possession as ferry Boats on the
Severn Ferry at Annapolis and all and singular the stock in trade
goods wares and merchandize in the possession of me the said Passmore
McCullough and being at the date of these presents in my Store
house near the Severn Ferry in the City of Annapolis and the said
Passmore McCullough doth also engage and agree to sell transfer
assign and set over and by these presents does sell transfer assign
and set over as far as is practicable all the stock in trade good wares and
merchandize which the said Passmore McCullough may hereafter
from time to time obtain and purchase as hereinafter provided
for retail during the time that the sums of money aforesaid or either
of them or any part of them shall continue unpaid to the said parties
to whom they are respectively due to them the said William McCullough
Hiram McCullough and George McCullough their executors
administrators and assigns.  To Have and To Hold all and singular
the said ferry boats stock in trade goods wares and merchandize now in the
possession or which shall hereafter come into possession as aforesaid of the said
Passmore McCullough to the said William Hiram and George McCullough their
