Mortgage from Nicholas Owens to
James Owens & Alexander Randall
dated the twenty first day of April
eighteen hundred and forty six
 This Indenture made this
twenty first day of April in
the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and forty six
between Nicholas Owens of Anne
Arundel County in the State of Maryland of the one part and James
Owens Senior of the County in the State aforesaid of the other part
whereas the said Nicholas Owens by his bond or other obligation stands
indebted to the said James Owens Senior in the sum of one hundred
dollars current money with legal interest thereon to be paid on or before
the first of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and forty eight  And whereas the said Nicholas Owens by his bond
or obligation duly executed bearing date the ninth day of March
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six stands
bound unto a certain Alexander Randall of the City of Annapolis
in the County and State aforesaid in the sum of three hundred and
twenty five dollars current money with legal interest thereon to be
paid on or before the ninth day of March in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and forty eight as by the said bond or
obligation may more fully appear  And whereas the said James Owens
Senior has duly become security unto the said Alexander Randall
that the said Nicholas Owens will promptly and faithfully pay
the said sum of three hundred and twenty five dollars current money
with legal interest thereon on or before the said ninth day of March
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight unto
the said Alexander Randall.  Now this Indenture Witnesseth that
