and chattels herein above and before named mentioned or specified
to have and to hold the same above bargained and sold or
intended so to be to the said Joshua Owens his executors his
Executors administrators and assigns forever.  In Witness
whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal this
twentieth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand

William Cecil Senr and acknowledges the foregoing instrument
of writing or Bill of sale to be his act and deed         W.m Glover

Know all men by these presents
that I Henry Jubb of Anne
Arundel County and State
of Maryland for the consideration
of the sum of fifty dollars current money to me in hand paid
by Stephen Gray of the County and State aforesaid the receipt whereof
I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold and delivered and
by these presents do grant bargain sell and deliver unto the said
Stephen Gray my negro woman Susan which said Susan is to serve
two years and ten months from the date hereof and also I will warrant
