Be it remembered that on this thirteenth day of April in the year
eighteen hundred and forty six before the Subscriber a justice of the peace
of the said State in the foregoing deed he being known to me to be the
identical person professing to sign the same and acknowledges the
said Indenture or instrument of written to be his act and deed for the
purposes therein mentioned

Senior to Joshua Owens dated
the twentieth day of April eighteen
hundred and forty six
 Know all men by these
presents that I William
Cecil senior of Howard District
in Anne Arundel County
in the State of Maryland
for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred and nine dollars
and fifty cents current money to me in hand paid by Joshua Owens
of Anne Arundel County and state aforesaid at or before the sealing
and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the said William
Cecil Sr do hereby acknowledge have bargained and sold transferred
and assigns and by these presents do bargain and sell transfer
and assign unto the said Joshua Owens his Executors administrators
and assigns all each and every of the following described personal
property goods and chattels to wit"
One coloured woman Matilda aged 18 years
One bay mare 14 years old
One Grey horse about 7 years old
One Black and white Cow not dry
One black cow some white about her dry
One red Buffaloe heifer about 3 years old
One small Bridle Heifer               d.o
One do red heifer 2 yrs old
Two sows and thirteen pigs
Eight shoats $1.50 each
One bureau $4.50 one clock $3.00
Two tables $2.50 each one mirror $1.50
six chair $2.50 one kitchen table 50
One pair Andirons Shovel and tongs
Two bedsteads beds and furniture $15 each
Two cast Iron pots 75 and $1.25
One coffee mill 25c three skillets $1.25  Tea Kettle 25
