in the City of Annapolis and now in the occupation of James D Weems  To have
and To hold all and singular the said goods and chattels and other the
premises above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the
said James Iglehart his Executors administrators and assigns forever and
I the said James D Weems for myself my heirs Executors and administrators
all and singular the said goods and chattels and other the premises
unto the said James Iglehart his Executors administrators and assigns against
me the said James D Weems my Executors and administrators and against
all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant
and forever defend by these presents of all and singular which said goods and
Chattels and other the premises I the said James D Weems have put the said
James Iglehart in possession by delivering to him the said James Iglehart
one Breast Pin at the sealing and delivering of these presents in the name
of the whole premises hereby bargained and sold or mentioned and intended
to be so unto him the said James Iglehart as aforesaid  In witness
whereof the said James D Weems has hereunto set his hand and seal
on this twenty fourth day of April in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred
and forty
Signed Sealed and delivered in the         James D Weems   (seal)
presence of Gabriel H Duvall

             At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

    State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sc.t  Be it remembered and
it is hereby Certified that on the seventy fourth day of april in the year
Eighteen hundred and forty before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace of
the state of maryland in and for said County personally appears James
D Weems he being known to be the person who is named and described
as and professing to be a party to the aforegoing instrument of writing and
doth acknowledge the same to be his act and deed  In Testimony whereof
I have hereunto subscribed my name on the day and year aforesaid

    State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sc.t  This Indenture made
this twenty fifth day of april in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight
hundred and Forty between Lewis D Jones of Anne Arundel County
of the one part and Dennis Claude Jun.r of the City of Annapolis of the
other part  Whereas the said Lewis D Jones owes and stands Justly indebted to
the said Dennis Claude J.r in the sum of Four hundred and forty dollars Current
                                                                                                       (Money)
