91 household stuff by these presents granted bargained and sold and every part thereof unto the said William McNier and Richard C Hardesty their Executors administrators and assigns against him the said Edward Dubois his Executors and administrators and against all and every other person and persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever ever defend by these presents In witness Whereof the said Edward Dubois hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first herein before written Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of the words "Richard C Hardesty being first interlined in the 7th line on the 2nd Edward Dubois (seal) Page before signing the same Wm Glover At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit Be it remembered that on this 22nd day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace of the state of maryland in and for the County aforesaid Edward Dubois acknowledges the said aforegoing deed or Instrument of writing to be his act and deed for the purposes therein stated I do further Certify that I am personally acquainted with the said Edward Dubois and know him to be the identical person executing these presents Acknowledged and Certified before W.m Glover chd 9 Recorded the 23 day of April 1840 Know all men by these presents that I James D Weems of Anne Arundel County in the state of maryland for and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred and Eighty three &60/100 Dollars Current Money to me in hand paid by James Iglehart of said County and State at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said James D Weems do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said James Iglehart his Executors administrators and assigns all the articles of household furniture hereinafter particularly mentioned that is to say four Carpets one floor cloth one bed four pillows one bolster seven sheets eleven pair pillow cases five bolster Cases fifteen towels five toilet Covers two quilts one bedspread bed valiants one pair Candlesticks six pitchers one oven one spider twenty four chairs one rocking Chair one Stove one Cupboard one wardrobe one looking glass one clock one stand five tables eleven Curtains three waiters five paper blinds two slat (blinds) |
