of the City of Annapolis  Now to secure the said William McNier and Richard
C Hardesty harmless the said Edward Dubois doth execute these presents
Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Edward Dubois for and
in consideration of the premises and for and in consideration of the sum
of five dollars Current money to him in hand paid by the said William
McNier and Richard C Hardesty at or before the sealing and delivery
of these presents the receipt whereof the said Edward Dubois doth hereby
acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth acquit release exonerate
and for ever discharge the said William McNier and Richard C
Hardesty their heirs executors and administrators and every of them
by these presents hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents
doth grant bargain and sell unto the said William McNier and
Richard C Hardesty their Executors administrators and assigns all
and singular the goods furniture and household stuff hereinafter
particularly mentioned and expressed one side board one sofa three
Mahogany Tables Looking glasses Carpets Bed steads bedding wash
stand basins and Ewers spoons table and Tea spoons one clock one
wardrobe pine Three dozen Chairs plates and dishes one centre table
two Bureaus and also kitchen furniture consisting of Iron Pots Kettle
tin ware and washing tubs and water tubs  To have and To hold
all and singular the said goods furniture and household stuff herein
before granted bargained and sold or mentioned or intended
so to be unto the said William McNier and Richard C Hardesty and
their Executors administrators and assigns to the only proper use
and behoof of the said William McNier and Richard C Hardesty
their executors administrators and assigns forever provided always and
these presents are upon this Condition that the said Edward Dubois
shall well and truly discharge his duties as Treasurer to the Corporation
of the City of Annapolis without any default therein so as that his
securities aforesaid shall not have to pay or become in any manner
responsible for any sum or sums of money on account of said
Edward Dubois as Treasurer to said Corporation which may be due
them at the expiration of his service as Treasurer as aforesaid then
and in such Case these presents and every matter and thing therein
Contained shall cease determine and be utterly void to all intents and
purposes any thing herein Contained to the Contrary thereof in anywise
notwithstanding and the said Edward Dubois for himself his Executors
and administrators all and singular the said goods furniture and
