             At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

On this twenty first day of January Eighteen hundred & forty before the
Subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland in and for Anne
Arundel County Came Benjamin Richardson & Sophia Richardson
and acknowledge the aforegoing Instrument of writing to be their act
and deed according to the true intent purport and meaning thereof
And the acts of assembly in such Case made and provided

Know all men by these presents That I Sally B Sudler of Annapolis
Anne Arundel County and state of maryland for and in consideration of the
Sum of Two hundred Dollars lawful money of the United States in hand
paid by Thomas Miller of Baltimore City Free Colourd Man at or before
the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents
do grant bargain and sell unto the said Thomas Miller his Executors
administrators and assigns one Coloured girl named Mary Ann Miller
Born on the 17th day of October 1822 and one other Coloured Girl named
Ellen Miller born on the 7th day of October 1824 both girls being the
Children of the said Thomas Miller  To have and To hold the said
described Coloured Girls to the said Thomas Miller his Executors administrators
and assigns for ever and I the said Sally B Sudler for myself my heirs
Executors and administrators the said Coloured Girls unto the said Thomas
Miller his Executors administrators and assigns against me the said
Sally B Sudler my Executors and administrators and against all
and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant
and forever defend by these presents  In witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal this         day of         Eighteen hundred and
forty
Signed Sealed and delivered in               Sally B Sudler      (seal)
       presence of Wm Bryan

            At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

Annapolis City Ss  Be it remembered That on this 12th day of February
1840 before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace for said City appears
Sally B Sudler and acknowledges the above Instrument of writing
to be her act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof
