delivering of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained
and sold or mentioned and intended to be so unto him the said Thomas N
Stockett as aforesaid  In Witness I the said Nicholas A Stockett have hereunto
set my hand and affixed my seal this third day of January 1839

                   At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

       State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit  On this 3d day of
January 1839 before me the Subscriber a Justice of the peace for said County
appears Nicholas A Stockett and acknowledges the aforegoing Instrument
of writing to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned
agreeably to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of
assembly in such made and provided

Know all Men by these presents that I George Gale of the state of
Maryland in Anne Arundel County for and in consideration of the
Sum of four hundred and twenty six dollars Current money to me
in hand paid by Thomas Phipps of the County aforesaid at and
before the sealing of these presents the receipt whereof I the said
George Gale do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold
and delivered and by these presents do grant bargain sell and
deliver unto the said Thomas Phipps one Schooner called Elizabeth
together with all and Singular the sails rigging tackling caboose
Stove Spars boat and all and every other article or articles belonging
thereunto or in any wise appertaining unto the said Schooner
Elizabeth  To have and To hold the said Schooner Elizabeth and I
the Said George Gale for myself my heirs Executors and administrators
do hereby warrant and defend the said Schooner Elizabeth unto the
Said Thomas Phipps and to his heirs Executors administrators or assigns
against me my heirs Executors and administrators and against
all and every other person or persons Claiming or to Claim by through
or under me  In Witness whereof I the said George Gale have
hereunto set my name and affix my seal this 26.th day of November 1838
