6 1838 before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for said City appears William Keilholtz and John H Iglehart and acknowledges the above Instrument of writing to be their act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Acknowledged before James Blair chd 3½ Recorded the 19th day of November 1838 This Indenture made this Sixteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty Eight between Gardner Green of Anne Arundel County and State of maryland of the one part and William McLaughlin of the same County and state of the other part Witnesseth that the said Gardner Green for and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred and six dollars Current money to him in hand paid by the said William McLaughlin at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Gardner Green doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said William McLaughlin his Executors administrators and assigns all the goods household Stuff and furniture hereinafter expressed that is to say one bay racking horse about fifteen hands high switch tail and a star on his forehead two beds two bedsteads one dozen chairs one settee one Stove two pair of shovel and tongs one pair andirons one dozen wine glasses one lot of tin and crockery ware tubs and barrels all of which goods household stuff and furniture are now in the possession of the said Gardner Green To have and To hold all and singular the goods and furniture above described unto the said William McLaughlin his Executors administrators and assigns for ever And the said Gardner Green for himself his heirs Executors & administrators the said goods and household Stuff unto the said William McLaughlin his Executors administrators and assigns against him the said Gardner Green his Executors and administrators and against all other persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents of all which goods and household Stuff the said Gardner Green has put the said William McLaughlin in full possession by delivering to the said William McLaughlin one chair in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained and sold to the said William McLaughlin as aforesaid In Witness whereof the Said Gardner Green has hereunto set his hand and seal on the day and year first above written Signed Sealed & delivered in presence Gardner Green (seal) of Jacob Bradenbaugh |
