50 Richard I Cowman the other dated the sixth day of August Eighteen hundred and thirty nine payable ninety days after date for two hundred and fifty dollars and endorsed by said Richard I Jones and Richard I Cowman which have been discounted at the Farmers Bank of Maryland for my use and the benefit or any renewals or substitutes therefor then this bill of sale and every matter and thing therein expressed shall be void and of none effect otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue in law In Witness whereof I the said Richard M Chase have hereunto set my hand affixed my seal the Twentieth day of August Eighteen hundred and thirty nine Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of R.d M Chase (seal) Curran Karney R C Hardesty On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit Anne Arundel County to wit On this twentieth day of August Eighteen hundred and thirty nine before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland in and for the County aforesaid personally appears Richard M Chase and acknowledges the foregoing writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such Case made and provided and I also further Certify that I am satisfied of my own knowledge that the person making this acknowledgment is the person who is named and described as and professing to be the party in the aforegoing instrument of writing Acknowledged before and Certified by Exd d d R C Hardesty chd .73cts 6 Recorded the 20th day of August 1839 Know all Men by these That I John Hynes of Anne Arundel County and state of maryland for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred sixty two dollars fifty Eight Cents lawful money of the United States in hand paid by Joshua H Hynes of Baltimore County at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Joshua H Hynes his Executors administrators and assigns The following described personal property viz.t one Cow twelve Hogs two Stoves four feather beds bedsteads and bedding one Beaurow one Clock three tables twelve (Chairs) |
