three years boy Henry aged about eight years and girl Serena aged about five
years  To have and To hold all and each of the said negro slaves unto the said
Frances Boutin her Executors administrators & assigns forever  In witness whereof
I have hereto set my hand and seal this fifth day of July Eighteen hundred and
thirty nine

                      At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

Baltimore City Ss  Be it known that on this fifth day of July Eighteen hundred
and thirty nine personally appeared before us the subscribers two Justices of the peace
in & for said City Warren L Nicoll and acknowledged that he Executed the aforegoing
Bill of sale for the uses and purposes therein mentioned and we further Certify that
we are Satisfied of our own knowledge that the said Warren L Nicoll who
makes this acknowledgment is the same person named in and described as &
professing to be the grantor in the said Bill of sale & who executed the same

State of Maryland Baltimore County Sc  I hereby Certify that Jacob Walsh
and Jsse Cloud Gentlemen before whom the aforegoing acknowledgment
was made and who have thereto signed their names were at the time of so doing
two of the Justices of the peace of the state of maryland in and for the City of
Baltimore duly Commissioned and Sworn
                               In Testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name and
          (Seal)            affix the seal of Baltimore County Court on this 23d day of

April 25th 1839   Then Received of Mr Leonard Foreman the sum of Three
hundred and Twenty five dollars in full payment ^for^ of negro Girl Mary who is to
serve Eighteen years from the 29th day of December Eighteen hundred & thirty
Eight & then to be free                                       Ch.s Waters

    Annapolis Aug.t 1.st 1839  Know all men by these that I Thomas
A Murdock of Anne Arundel County and state of maryland for and in
Consideration of the sum of seventy five dollars Current money to me in hand
paid by Vachel Sevear of the County & State aforesaid at and before the sealing
and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Thomas A
Murdock do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by
