S Green to be used and injoyed by him the said William S Green his heirs Executors
and administrators   In Witness whereof the said William S Green hath
hereunto set his hand and affixed the seal the day and year herein before
written
Signed Sealed and delivered in the                  Wm S Green   (seal)
presence of         Wm Glover

          At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

    Ann Arundel County to wit:  On this 22nd day of August 1844 before me the
subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for Anne Arundel County personally
appeared the above named William S Green and acknowledged the aforegoing
deed or instrument of writing to be his act and deed
                            Acknowledged before            Wm Glover

    Memorandum  It is understood that James Boyle Esq Deputy Attorney General
of the State of maryland for Anne Arundel County may apply the proceeds under
the foregoing instrument to such of the said Judgments and the Interest
therein as he may deed and appoint

       Know all men by these presents that I Susan Owens of Anne
Arundel County in the State of maryland for and in Consideration of the
sum of five dollars Current money to me in hand paid by Edwin Augustus
Owens of the said County in the said State at and before the sealing and
delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Susan Owens do
hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents
do grant bargain and sell unto the said Edwin Augustus Owens his Executors
administrators and assigns all the negroes hereinafter particularly mentioned
that is to say one negro Girl called Mary Jane aged about three years one
ditto called Cassandra aged about one year and one negro boy called
Charles aged about one year all and singular which said negroes are now
remaining and being in the possession of Fielder Owens  To have and To hold
all and singular the said negroes above bargained and sold or mentioned
and intended so to be to the said Edwin Augustus Owens his Executors
administrators and assigns forever and I the said Susan Owens for
myself my heirs Executors and administrators and against all and every
person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these
presents  In Witness whereof I the said Susan Owens have hereunto set my
hand and seal this fourteenth day of August Anno Domini 1844
