349 administrators and assigns all and singular the Schooner called the Pocahontas of Portsmouth and the appentances thereunto belonging To have and To hold all and singular the said Schooner Pocahontas and the appertances thereunto belonging unto the said Caleb A Townsend his Executors administrators and assigns to his and their own use and behoof Provided always and it is declared to be the true intent and meaning of these presents that if the said Joseph R Dunning do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Caleb A Townsend his Executors administrators or assigns the full sum of six hundred dollars with legal interest for the same on or before the twenty ninth day of July Eighteen hundred and forty seven then in such case these presents and every matter and thing therein contained shall cease determine and be utterly void to all intents nd purposes any thing herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding and the said Joseph R Dunning for himself and his heirs doth hereby Covenant promise and agree to and with the said Caleb A Townsend that he the said Joseph R dunning his heirs Executors or administrators shall and will well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Caleb A Townsend his Executors administrators or assigns the said sum of six hundred dollars Current money together with interest for the same after the manner aforesaid at such time as herein before set forth and agreefor the payment thereof In Witness whereof the said Joseph R Dunning has herein set his hand and seal this twenty ninth day of July Eighteen hundred and forty four Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of Joseph R Dunning (seal) R Sands Wm Glover At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of maryland Anne Arundel County sct Be it remembered That on this fifth day of August in the year Eighteen hundred and forty four before the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the said State in and for said County personally appeared Joseph R Dunning party grantor in the aforesaid deed he being known to me to be the Identical person professing to sign the same and acknowledges the said Indenture or instrument of writing to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned Wm Glover paid 60 Recorded the 5th day of August 1844 Know all men by these presents that I James Laramore Junr of Anne Arundel County and State of maryland for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars Current money which I owe and stand justly indebted unto a certain Edward Atwell of the County and State aforesaid for services rendered to me by virtue of his labour and management of my farm or plantation whereon I now reside as also for |
