       At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

    State of Md A A Co to wit   On this 16 day of may 1844 before me one of the Justices
of the peace in and for the State and County aforesaid appeared Thos B Crandle
and acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the
property above named to be the right and Estate of the above named William H
Wood upon the Conditions above named according to the true intent and meaning
of the same and the Acts of Assembly in such case as made and provided

3¾      Recorded the 22d day of May 1844


       Know all men by these presents that I Sophia Malock of Anne Arundel
and State of maryland for the Consideration of the sum of forty dollars Current
money to me in hand paid by Reuben Collins of the County and State aforesaid
the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold and
delivered and by these presents do grant bargain sell and deliver unto the
said Reuben Collins one hundred Cords of pine wood standing in the woods
to be cut at his expense and by his direction to be measured when cut to him by
two disinterested persons one named by him the said Reuben Collins and
one named by me the said Sophia Malock the said wood as not standing
upon the land devised to me by the last will and testament of my late
husband John Malock which wood I will warrant and defend to the said
Reuben Collins his Executors administrators and assigns against me my
heirs Executors and administrators and against every other person or persons
whomsoever  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed my
seal this 6th day of January 1844

       This Indenture made this sixth day of June in the year of our Lord one
thousand Eight hundred and forty four  Between James H Watkins of the City of
Annapolis of Anne Arundel County in the State of maryland of the one part and
John Watkins of the same County and State aforesaid of the other part  Whereas the
said James H Watkins is indebted to the said John Watkins his father in the sum of
one hundred and fifty dollars Current money for the like sum of money by the said
John Watkins on or about the first day of September in the year Eighteen hundred and
forty three but to the said James H Watkins  And whereas the said John Watkins
hath endorsed a note drawn by the said James H Watkins for the sum of one
