330 the following personal property to wit One negro man named John aged twenty five years One negro woman named Dolly aged thirty years five head of horses four milch Cows two yoke of oxen one ox Cart sixteen head of hogs twenty four head of sheep and all my household and kitchen furniture all and Singular which said personal property above bargained and sold or meant mentioned or intended so to be is in my possession To have and To hold the said personal property above bargained and sold to the said William H Wood his Executors administrators and assigns for ever And I the said Samuel Sunderland for myself my heirs Executors and administrators all and singular the said personal property unto the said William H Wood his Executors administrators and assigns against me the said Samuel Sunderland my Executors and administrators and against all and every person & persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this seventh day of may Eighteen hundred and forty four Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of Samuel Sunderland (seal) Witness Lewis Sutton Sr Mary S Wood At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of Md A A C to wit: On this 7 day of may 1844 before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for the State and County aforesaid appeared Samuel Sunderland and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the personal property therein named and hereby Conveyed to be the right and Estate of the therein named William H Wood upon the Condition therein declared and hereby understood as Collateral & security for the sum of money therein described with the interest thereon as to have an indemnity for the sum as aforesaid and for no other purpose according to the true intent and meaning of the same and the Act of Assembly in such case made and provided Exd d d Acknowledged before Lewis Sutton Sr paid 48 3 Recorded the 8th day of may 1844 State of Maryland A A C.o to wit: Know all men by these presents that I Samuel Sunderland of Anne Arundle County and State of maryland for and in Consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars and Current money to me in hand paid by Wm H Wood of the County and State aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said William H Wood his Executors heirs administrators and assigns the following property vizt His Crop of Tobacco now in the houses of Richd Brown about eleven thousand pounds more or less To have and To hold the same (described) |
