325 Know all men by these presents that I James T Baldwin of Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars lawful money of the United States in hand paid by James Curley of the City of Baltimore and State aforesaid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto said James Curley his Executors administrators and assigns One Negro man named Jacob Hall two horses four Cows two ploughs one harrow one Cultivator seven hogs four axes one Scythe & Cradle fifteen barrels Corn two stacks of blades Crop of Tobacco supposed to be about six hhds six chairs three Iron pots and frying pans one dutch oven and one spider being the Stock now on the farm and the furniture in the house in which I dwell To have and To hold the said described articles above named to the said James Curley his Executors administrators and assigns forever: And the said James T Baldwin for myself my heirs Executors and administrators the said articles unto the said James Curley his Executors administrators and assigns against me the said James T Baldwin my Executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixteenth day of April Eighteen hundred and forty four Signed Sealed and delivered in the James T Baldwin (seal) presence of J W Hunter At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit Anne Arundel County sc Be it remembered That on this sixteenth day of April 1844 before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for said County appears James Baldwin and acknowledges the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof chd Acknowledged before J W Hunter 53 3½ Recorded the 16th day of April 1844 State of Maryland Anne Arundle County to wit: Know all men by these presents that we William G Deal and Jenette Deale his wife of Friendship State of maryland Anne Arundle County and for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred dollars or an amount nearly that due to the late Company of Fant & Sutton Merchants of the City of Baltimore in the State aforesaid to William G Dent in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof they the said William & Jennette Deal do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Doctr James D Sutton his Executors administrators and assigns as trustee In trust for Fant & Sutton |
