This Deed made this sixteenth day of November Eighteen hundred and
thirty Eight between Dennis Boyd of Anne Arundel County in the State of
Maryland of the one part and James Iglehart of the City of Annapolis and
State aforesaid of the other part  Whereas the said Dennis Boyd stands indebted
to the said James Iglehart in the sum of six hundred and thirty dollars
Current money and to secure the payment thereof and also to secure
the payment of other claims due by the said Dennis Boyd to the said
James Iglehart is willing to Execute these presents Now this deed Witnesseth
that the said Dennis Boyd for and in consideration of the premises and for
and in consideration of the sum of five dollars Current money to him in
hand paid by the said James Iglehart at or before the sealing and delivery
of these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath
granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain
and sell unto the said James Iglehart his Executors administrators and
assigns all and singular the goods chattels and personal property
hereinafter particularly mentioned and expressed that is to say
all the Crop of Tobacco raised and made by him the said Dennis Boyd
on his farm on South River on which he resides in the year Eighteen
hundred and thirty Eight and which is now hanging in the houses
on said farm ^or^ in Bulk therein  To have and To hold all and singular
the said goods chattels and personal property herein before granted
bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be unto the said
James Iglehart his Executors administrators or assigns provided
always and these presents are upon this Condition that if the said
Dennis Boyd his Executors or administrators do and shall well and truly
pay or cause to be paid unto the said James Iglehart his Executors
administrators or assigns the said sum of Six hundred ^and thirty^ dollars
Current money and also well and truly pay or cause to be paid to the
Said James Iglehart his Executors administrators or assigns the other
Claims due by the said Dennis Boyd to the said James Iglehart on or before
the sixteenth day of July Eighteen hundred and thirty nine then and in
that Case these presents and every matter and thing therein Contained
shall cease determine and be utterly void to all intents and purposes
In Witness whereof the said Dennis Boyd hath hereto set his hand
and seal the day and year first herein before written
