       At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

       Anne Arundel County Sct  Be it remembered That on this second day of June
1843 before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the State of maryland in and
for Anne Arundel County personally appeared George W Gray & acknowledged the
foregoing instrument of writing to be his act & deed and the property therein bargained
& sold to be the right & estate of the within mentioned Joshua Gray according to the
purport true intent & meaning thereof and the Acts of assembly in such case made
& provided  And I hereby Certify that the said George W Gray is known to me as the
Identical person mentioned therein as Grantor

       Know all men by these presents that I Richard I Jones of the City of
Annapolis for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars Current money to me in
hand paid by James Hoye and Willis R Austin merchants trading under the style
and firm of Hoye and Austin in the City of Philadelphia at or before the sealing and
delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained
and sold transferred and assigned and by these presents do grant bargain and sell
transfer and assign unto the said Hoye & Austin their Executors administrators and
assigns all the Stock of goods wares and merchandizes whatsoever of every description
belonging to the firm of Richard I Jones and Company and which are now at the
time of Executing these presents in possession of said Hoye & Austin together with all
my right title and interest and the right title and interest of the said Richard I
Jones and Company in and to the same  To have and To hold the aforesaid Stock unto
and to the use of the said Hoye & Austin in trust and with authority to the said
Hoye and Austin to all the said Stock with all convenient disputes and the
nett proceeds of sales after defraying the expenses of Executing this trust to apply
to the discharge of certain Judgments recovered by them against in Anne Arundel
County Court and all other claims whatsoever which they may have against me
or the said Richard I Jones & Company and the residue of said proceeds to hold
subject to my order  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal
this sixth day of June in the year Eighteen hundred and forty three

       Anne Arundel County to wit:  On this 6 day of June 1843 the within
