256 property to wit all my household and kitchen furniture one bay horse one carryall all which property is now in my possession To have and To hold the same described property above bargained and sold to the said William Young his Executors and administrators and assigns forever to his only proper use and behoof benefit And I the said John Dennis Littleford for myself my Executors and administrators shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents the said described property against me my Executors and administrators and against all and every person or persons whomsoever claiming the same or any part thereof In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty sixth day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty three his Signed Sealed & delivered in the John x Dennis Littleford (seal) presence of J W Hunter mark On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of maryland Anne Arundle County to wit On this twenty sixth day of May in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty three before me one of the Justices of the peace in and for said County appears John Dennis Littleford and acknowledges the foregoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the Act of Assembly in such made and provided J W Hunter Exd d d 49 paid 3¼ Recorded the 26 day of may 1843 This Indenture made this second day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty three Between George W Gray of Anne Arundel County maryland of the one part and Joshua Gray of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that whereas the said George W Gray stands indebted to the Joshua Gray in the full and just sum of One hundred and fifty seven dollars with interest And the said Joshua Gray is also bound as security for the payment of considerable sums of money due to various Creditors by the said George W Gray and to secure the payment of the said sum of one hundred and fifty seven dollars with Interest and also to save and indemnify the said Joshua Gray against all loss by reason of said securityships the said George W Gray is willing to execute these presents Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said George W Gray for and in consideration of the premises and for and in consideration of the further sum of one dollar Current money to him in hand paid by the said Joshua Gray at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Joshua Gray doth hereby acknowledge by these (presents) |
