203 property so as aforesaid described to the aforesaid William G Deale his Executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said John Allein for myself my heirs Executors administrators the aforesaid the said Tobacco to the said William G Deale his Executors administrators and Assigns and against me the said John Allein my Executors and administrators and against all and every person and persons whomsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents Provided Nevertheless that in case I the said John Allein shall pay and satisfy to the said William G Deale or his Executors administrators or assigns the sum of Thirty six dollars and Twenty seven cents Current money with Interest due on the same on or before the 6th day of Oct 1843 next ensuing then this bill of sale and every matter and thing therein expressed shall be void and of none effect It being the true intent and meaning thereof that the said property is mortgaged by me the said John Allein to the said Rev.d William G Deale for the payment of the money as aforesaid as a Collateral security on the same In Witness whereof I the said John Allein have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the 16 day of October 1842 Signed Sealed and delivered in the his presence of John x Allein (seal) Lewis Sutton S.r Philip H Lyles mark At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of maryland Anne Arundel County to wit On this 10th day of October in the year of our Lord 1842 Before me one of the Justices of the peace in and for the State and County aforesaid appears John Allein and acknowledges the above Instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the True intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such a case made and provided As Witness my hand Lewis Sutton S.r Exd d d chd 60cts 4¾ Recorded the 24th day of October 1842 This Indenture made this twenty fifth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty two between Richard R Goodwin of Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland of the one part and William Goodman Junior William Brewer Senr George McNeir and William McNeir of the County and state aforesaid of the other part whereas the said Richard R Goodwin owes and stands justly indebted unto the said William Goodman Junior in the Sum of three hundred and fifty five dollars by his note dated the seventeenth day of August in the year Eighteen hundred and forty two and whereas the said William Brewer Sen.r & George McNeir stand bound for the said Richard R Goodwin as his securities on his bond as Executor of Catharine Phelps dated the ninth day of april in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty nine and whereas the said George McNeir and William McNeir stand bound for the Richard R Goodwin as his securities on his bonds as guardian for Albert Adams and and Susan Ellen Adams dated the first day of August in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty |
