190 assigns all and singular the property above granted and which are now and at the time of the executing of these presents were received by the said Margret Hall of and from the said E W Hall in as good case or condition as the same and every of them now are at this time In Witness whereof I set my hand and seal this twenty third day of July Eighteen hundred & forty two Witness Philip Miller E W Hall (seal) Witness Ben H Hall Margret Hall (seal) At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit This Mortgage is conveyed to Margret Hall in consideration of her obligating herself to pay to Frances Beshears $2000 on account of said E W Hall (seal) Exd d d July 23d 1842 (seal) Acknowledged before a Justice the peace of A A County to be Just and true chd Peter Miller 68cts 5 Recorded the 27th day of July 1842 This Indenture made this the ninth day of august in the year Eighteen hundred and forty two between Hamilton Boone of Anne arundel County and state of Maryland of the one part and Elizabeth H Bowie of the County and state aforesaid of the other part Whereas the said Hamilton Bowie owes and stands Justly indebted to the said Elizabeth H Bowie in the full and Just sum of Three hundred and fifty three dollars Current money and to secure the payment thereof is willing to Execute these presents Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Hamilton Bowie for and in Consideration of the premises and for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars Current Money to him in hand paid by the said Elizabeth H Bowie at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Hamilton Bowie doth hereby acknowledge and from every part and parcel thereof doth hereby acquit exonerate and discharge the said Elizabeth H Bowie his heirs executors and administrators and every of them by these presents hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Elizabeth H Bowie her heirs executors administrators and assigns one negro man named George Johnson of a black colour twenty four years of age and about five feet eleven inches high To have and To hold the said negro man hereby granted bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be unto the said Elizabeth H Bowie her executors administrators and assigns for ever provided always and these presents are upon this Condition that if the said Hamilton Bowie his Executors or administrators shall and do well and truly pay or cause to be paid to the said Elizabeth H Bowie her Executors administrators or assigns the full Sum of Three hundred and fifty three dollars Current with legal interest for the same on or before the thirty first day of December in the year Eighteen hundred and forty two then and (in) |
