181 continuing in servitude as slaves for life to the said George Bradford his heirs and assigns To have and To hold the aforementioned negroes upon the terms and Conditions aforesaid unto him the said George Bradford his heirs and assigns and the said Leonard Mallonee for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth by these presents warrant and defend the said negroes and each and every one of them upon the terms and Conditions aforesaid unto him the said George Bradford his heirs and assigns against him the said Leonard Mallonee and his heirs and against all other persons whomsoever In witness whereof the said Leonard Mallonee and George Bradford have hereunto respectively subscribed their names and affixed their several seals on this 28 day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty two Witness Leonard Mallonee (seal) Caleb White George Bradford (seal) At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit On this 28 day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty two before the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland aforesaid in and for Anne Arundel County personally appear Leonard Mallonee and George Bradford who are known to us as the persons named as and professing to be parties to the foregoing Instrument of writing and severally acknowledged the said Instrument of writing to be their respective act and deed Taken and Certified on the day and year aforesaid Exd d d Before Caleb White chd 62 5 Recorded the 4th day of June 1842 Know all Men by these presents that I Joseph Tydings of Anne Arundel County and State of maryland for and in consideration of the Sum of two hundred dollars Current money of the United States to me in hand paid by George Washington Rawlings of the County & State aforesaid at and before the ensealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Joseph Tydings do hereby acknowledge have granted Bargained & Sold & by these presents do grant Bargain & sell unto the said George Washington Rawlings his Executors administrators and assigns one Sorrel mare one milk cow Brown two feather Beds and their furniture Seven Hogs and one third of the crop that is now or may be hereafter standing on the ground where Tho.s Crandell now resides known by the name of Woodwards Farm all of which property is now in my possession To have and To hold the said property to the said George Washington Rawlings his Executors administrators & assigns forever and I the said Joseph Tydings for myself my Executors and administrators & heirs the aforesaid described property to the said George W Rawlings his Executors administrators and assigns agt me the said Joseph Tydings my Executors and administrators and against all and |
