assigns against me the said William S Adams my Executors and administrators and against
all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend
by these presents of all and singular which said goods household stuff and furniture and other
the premises I the said William S Adams have put the said George Hammilton in full
possession by delivering to him the said George Hammilton one Gray mare at the sealing
and delivering of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby Bargained
and sold or mentioned and intended to be so unto him the said George Hammilton
as aforesaid  In witness whereof I the said William S Adams do hereunto set my hand
and seal this twenty first day of march in the year one thousand Eight hundred and forty two

                                  At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

    State of maryland Anne Arundel County Sc  On this twenty first day of march
in the year one thousand Eight hundred and for tur Before the subscriber and one of the Justices
of the peace of the State of maryland in and for Anne Arundel County personally appeared
William S Adams and acknowledged the foregoing Instrument of writing to be his
act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned

    This Indenture made this fifteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand
Eight hundred and forty two between Richard R Goodwin of Anne Arundel County and
State of maryland of the one part and William Goodman Junior of the same County and state
of the other part witnesseth that the said Richard R Goodwin for and in consideration
of the trust and confidence in him the said William Goodman Junior reposed and hereinafter
particularly set forth and also for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars Current
Money to him the said Richard R Goodwin by the said William Goodman Junior in
hand paid at the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Richard
R Goodwin doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained and sold and by
these presents doth give grant bargain and sell unto the said William Goodman Junior
his executors administrators and assigns in trust for the purposes herein after particularly
set forth and expressed two negro women slaves one named Juliet and one named
Margaret  To have and To Hold the said negro slaves above mentioned unto him the
said William Goodman Junior his executors administrators and assigns forever in trust
nevertheless for the uses intents and purposes herein after particularly set forth expressed
limited and declared and no other use intent or purpose whatsoever that is to say first
whereas Daniel T Hyde Doctr Dennis Claude Philip Clayton David S Caldwell
James Allison and George McNeir now stand liable to The President Directors and
