149 his Executors administrators and assigns forever to his and their only proper use and benefit And I the said John Henry Weaver for myself my Executors administrators shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents to the said Edward Jacob his Executors administrators and assigns the said described property against me my executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever claiming the same or any part thereof In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the twenty first day of Dec.r one thousand Eight hundred and forty one his Signed sealed and delivered in the presence John H x Weaver (seal) of Jo.s Nicholson mark At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit Be it remembered that on this 21 day of Dec.r Eighteen hundred and forty one before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland in and for said County personally appears John Henry Weaver the party grantor in the aforegoing Bill of sale and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed and the property thereby bargained and sold to be the right and Estate of Edward Jacob the party grantee also therein Mentioned and I do hereby Certify that I am satisfied of my own knowledge that John Henry Weaver the person making the acknowledgment is the person who is named and described as and professing to be the Grantor in the said Bill of sale Jos Nicholson chd 47cts 3½ Recorded the 29 day of December 1841 This Indenture made this twenty eighth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty one between William Drury of Henry of Anne Arundel County of the one part and Enoch Sheckells of the County aforesaid and George W Lawrence of Calvert County of the other part whereas the said Enoch Sheckells and George W Lawrence have become security for the said William Drury of Henry on a single bill dated on the day of these presents for three hundred dollars payable to Somerville Pinkney trustee for the sale of the personal estate of Richard G Hutton six months after date with interest from date and for the purpose of securing and indemnifying the said Enoch Shekells and George W Lawrence from all loss which they or either of them may sustain by their aforesaid secureteship the said William Drury of Henry hath agreed to execute these presents Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said William Drury of Henry for and in consideration of the above recited premises and of the sum of five dollars Current money to him in hand pair by the said Enoch Sheckells and George W Lawrence at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and mortgaged and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Enoch Sheckells and George W Lawrence and the survivor of them and the executors and administrators of such survivor one negro woman named Minta Wallis aged about thirty six years and one |
