148 administrators and assigns all the goods property household stuff implements and furniture particularly Mentioned expressed and Contained herein that is to say one old black man named Jack one other black man named Paul Johnson two sorrel horses one bay mare and colt one cart and gear one sow and five pigs fifty barrells of Corn a crop of fodder two beds and bedsteads one bureau one looking glass two stoves two tables one half dozen chairs and kitchen furniture all and which said goods and chattels are now in the occupation of the said Deborah Johnson To have and To hold all and singular the goods household stuff and furniture and other the premises above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said John Lamb his Executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said Deborah Johnson for myself my heirs Executors and administrators all and singular the said goods household stuff and furniture and other the premises unto the said John Lamb his Executors administrators and assigns against me the said Deborah Johnson my executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof I the said Deborah Johnson have hereunto set my hand and seal this day of December Eighteen hundred and forty one Signed sealed and delivered in the presence her of J W Hunter Deborah x Johnson (seal) mark At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of maryland Anne Arundel County Sct Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that on this twentieth day of December in the year Eighteen hundred and forty one before the subscriber a justice of the peace of the state of maryland in and for said County personally appears Deborah Johnson she being known to me to be the person who is named and described as and professing to be a party to the foregoing instrument of writing and doth acknowledge the same to be her act and deed In Testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name on the day and year aforesaid paid J W Hunter 63cts 5 Recorded the 27th day of December 1841 Know all men by these presents that I John Henry Weaver of Anne Arundel County in the state of maryland for and in Consideration of the sum of five dollars Current money to me in hand paid by Edward Jacob of the County and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Edward Jacob his Executors administrators and assigns one checkasaw mare by name Sally Brown all which property is now in my possession To have and To hold the same described property above bargained and sold to the said Edward Jacob (his) |
