99 Reuben Warfield Jesse P. Todd state of maryland Howard County to wit; on this twentieth day of June A. D. eighteen hundred and fifty five before me a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland in and for Howard County aforesaid personally appeared Charles Pickett he being known by me to be the person who is named and described as the party to the aforegoing Bill of sale or instrument of writing and whose proper signature is thereto affixed and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed and at the same time personally appeared Benjamin Todd the grantee above named and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration mentioned in the aforegoing bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth In testimony whereof I hereto set my name on the date aforesaid Reuben Warfield J. P. Rec.d to be recorded on the 5.th day of July 1855 same day recorded and examined per W. H. Worthington clk

Davis of Howard County state aforesaid which is in full payment of a Negro Woman Named Thena Now supposed to be about 19 years of age of black colour to serve as a slave untill the first day of May Eighteen hundred and sixty eight (1868) and no longer and then to be free from all Maner of servitude as will more fully appear by referance to a Bill of sale from F. G. Waters to Joseph Pearson on Record in the office of the cleark of the the court of anne arundle county at annapolis city maryland also a Bill of sale from Joseph W. Tyson to Isaac |
