No 3 folio 46 &c one of the records of Howard County will more fully appear the right and title of said slave I will forever warrant guarantee and defend against all claim or claims through or by me or any other person claiming through or under me for the period above mentioned. Peace state of Maryland Howard county sc On this 16.th day of July Eighteen hundred and fifty five before me the subscriber a justice of the Peace of the state of maryland in a for Howard County personally appears Isaac C. Anderson and acknowledges the above Instrument of writing or bill of sale to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and at the same time appeared before me Henry G. Davis the grantee in said Bill of sale and made oath on the Holy Evengelist of almighty god that the consideration set forth in said Bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth Acknowledged before me Ignatius Waters J. Peace Received on the aforegoing Bill of sale when presented for record one dollar in lieu of stamp under the act of 1846 ch 61 W. H.
