William B Hammond
     Release to
Larkin Brown
 This Indenture made this second day of
February in the year eighteen hundred and fifty
four between William B Hammond of Howard
County in the State of Maryland of the one
part and Larkin Brown of Howard County in the state of Maryland
the same place of the other part  Whereas the said Larkin
Brown by Indenture of a bill of sale bearing date on the
13.th day of December eighteen hundred and fifty duly executed
acknowledged and recorded among the Lans records of Howard
District of A. A. County ^(now Howard county) in Liber E. P. H No 2 folio 275 and
for and in consideration of the sum of sixty dollars current
money grant bargain and sell unto the said W.m B. Hammond his
heirs and assigns the following described property viz one
sow and eight shoats one black cow five years old one
red and white cow seven Years old one grey mare twelve
years old one carriage and harness one horse cart and
harness one set of carry all haness one two horse plough
one one horse plough one Cultivator and two sets of plough
harness as by reference to the said bill of sale will fully and
at large appear  And whereas the said Larkin Brown
has fully paid and satisfied to him the said William B Hammond
the above mentioned sum of money and interest thereon
he the said William B Hammond doth agree to execute
this instrument of writing as a full release of the above
described property.  Now this Indenture Witnesseth that
for and in consideration of the payment of the above mentioned
sum of money and the interest thereon and for and in
consideration of the sum of one dollar to him in hand
paid by the said Larkin Brown at and before the sealing
and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these
presents doth grant bargain sell and release unto him
the said Larkin Brown his heirs and assigns forever
the above mentioned and described property
To have and To Hold the said above mentioned property
unto the said Larkin brown his Heirs and assigns forever
In testimony whereof the said William B. Hammond
has hereunto set his hand and seal on the day and year
first above written
