Waters to Joseph Pearson on Record in the office of the Clerk of the court of Anne Arundel County at Annapolis Maryland being the same Negro Girl mentioned in that Bill of Sale. The right and title of said Slave I will forever warrant guarrentee and defend against all claims or claim of any kind whatsoever for the period above mentioned. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this 31.st thirtieth first of August 31st Eighteen hundred and fifty four (1854) Witness Joseph W. Tyson (seal) Lehman A Cooper Isaac C. Anderson (seal) Ignatius Waters J. Peace State of Maryland Howard County Sc. Be it remembered that on this (31.st) thirty first day of August Eighteen hundred and fifty four before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for said Co^un^ty appears Joseph W. Tyson and Isaac C. Anderson and acknowledges the above Instrument of writing or Bill of Sale to be their act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and at the same time appears before me Isaac C. Anderson the grantee in said Bill of Sale named and made oath on the Holy Evangist that the consideration set forth in said Bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth Ignatius Waters J.
