Manumission to
Evan Senn & others
 I John Holland of Howard County
and State of Maryland do hereby manumit
and set free my negro slaves
Evan Senn aged about thirty two years
his freedom to commence on the sixteenth day of November Eighteen
hundred and sixty two or at the time of my death which ever
event shall first happen Ann Senn aged thirty years for freedom
to commence on the 26th day of February 1864 or at the time
of my death which ever shall first occur Caroline Sinn
her freedom to commence from the 30th day of April 1865 or from
the date of my death which ever first happens Eliza Senn
aged about twenty four years her freedom to commence from
the 6th day of February 1868 or from the date of my death
which ever event first occurs Amos Sinn aged about twenty
years his freedom to commence on the 28th day of May 1872
or from the date of my death which ever first happens
Sally Sinn aged about twenty years her freedom to commence
on the 28 day of May 1874 Rachel Sinn aged
about Eighteen years her freedom to commence on the
28th day of May 1876 Martha Sinn aged about sixteen
years her freedom to commence on the 28th day of May 1878
Laura Sinn aged about fourteen years her freedom to
commence on the 28th day of May 1880 and Mary Sinn
aged about twelve years her freedom to commence on
the 28 day of May 1882 but in the event of my death
happening before the times specified in this deed of
manumission then the freedom of all the aforegoing
named slaves to commence from the date of my death
and I also hereby manumit my following negro children
Bill Johnson aged about six years his freedom to commence
on the 28th day of May 1894 or at the time
of my death which ever first occurs and the child of
my above named servant Eliza not yet named aged
about two or three weeks his freedom to commence on
the 28th day of May 1895 or at my death which ever
first occurs and I also manumit and set free the issue
of all my above or foregoing named female slaves their
freedom to commence from the date of my death
Witness my hand and seal this Twenty eighth Twenty
Eighth day of May 1860
