Election District of Howard County do and shall well
and faithfully execute the same office in all things
appertaining thereto and shall well and faithfully
execute all warrants and other process to him
directed and delivered and shall also well and
truly pay and deliver to the person or persons entitled
to receive the same all sum or sums of money
tobacco goods and chattels or other property by him
levied seized or taken agreeably to the directions of
the said warrant or process under which the same
shall have been levied seized or taken and also shall
keep and detain in safe custody all and every person
or persons committed to his custody or by him taken
in execution without suffering them or any of them
to escape or depart from his custody and shall also
well and truly execute and perform the several duties
required of or imposed upon him by the laws of this
State then this obligation to be void and of none
effect else to remain in full force and virtue in law

This Indenture made this
twenty first 21st day of July
one thousand eight hundred
and fifty four between Julianna
Wrim of Howard County State
Maryland und of the one part and Stephen Balderston
of the other part.  Witnesseth that for and in
consideration of the sum one hundred and
twenty dollars in hand paid to the said Julianna
Wrim by the said Stephen Balderston at and before
the sealing and delivery hereof; the receit of which
is hereby acknowledged the Julianna Wrim hath
granted bargained and sold and by these presents
doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Stephen
Balderston his executors administrators and
assigns her negro girl Emily who was born April
8th 1842 and to surve untill she arrives at the age
