sell and by these presents hath bargained and sold unto Howard Swain also of said county and state the following property to Wit one sofa one centre table eight parlour chairs two lots carpeting one large mahogany table two clocks one looking Glass, two stoves thirty yards matting two window blinds two wardrobes two Bureaus four bedsteads and bedding two washstands one workstand six chamber chairs one set of china ware and one lot of Kitchen furniture. Witness my hand and seal this day and year above written Test James Gaw (seal) Geo W Sands W Allen State of Maryland Howard County to Wit: I hereby certify that on this twenty eighth day of May in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty nine before the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for the county aforesaid personally appears James Gaw and acknowledged the foregoing Bill of sale to be his act at the same time also appeared Howard Swain and made oath in due form of Law that the Consideration in said Bill of Sale is true and bona fida as therein set forth William Allen J.
