James Gaw
   Bill of Sale
       to
Howard Swain
This Bill of sale made this twentyeth
day of May in the year eighteen hundred &
fifty nine by James of Howard County
and state of Maryland Witnesseth that for
and in consideration of the sum of one hundred
and fifty dollars the said James Gaw doth bargain and
sell and by these presents hath bargained and sold unto Howard
Swain also of said county and state the following property to Wit
one sofa one centre table eight parlour chairs two lots carpeting
one large mahogany table two clocks one looking Glass, two stoves
thirty yards matting two window blinds two wardrobes two
Bureaus four bedsteads and bedding two washstands one
workstand six chamber chairs one set of china ware and
one lot of Kitchen furniture.  Witness my hand and seal this
day and year above written

State of Maryland Howard County to Wit:  I hereby certify
that on this twenty eighth day of May in the year Eighteen hundred
and fifty nine before the subscriber a Justice of the peace in
and for the county aforesaid personally appears James Gaw
and acknowledged the foregoing Bill of sale to be his act at the
same time also appeared Howard Swain and made oath in
due form of Law that the Consideration in said Bill of Sale
is true and bona fida as therein set forth

       Emma his wife
       Bill of Sale to
Edward Franklin Frizzle
We Thomas Lucy and Emma E Lucy
his wife of Lisbon Howard County Maryland
being now indebted to Edward
Franklin Frizzle of Carroll County in the
same state in the sum of one hundred
and ninety eight dollars and twenty four cents in consideration thereof
do hereby bargain and sell to the said Edward Franklin Frizzle
the following property namely one Bay mare one buggy and
harness and a small one horse spring wagon.  Provided that if we
or either of us the said Thomas Lucy or Emma E Lucy shall
shall pay to teh said Edward Franklin Frizzle his heirs
