360 or assigns the said joint note for one hundred and ninety eight dollars and twenty four cents with the interest thereon on or before the 1st day of June one thousand eight hundred and sixty one then these presents shall be null and void. Witness our hands and seals this 28th day of May 1859 Attest Thomas Lucy (seal) Reuben Warfield Emma Lucy (seal) State of Maryland Howard County to wit: I hereby certify that on this 28th day of May in the year 1859 before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the said state in and for the County aforesaid personally appeared Thomas Lucy and Emma E Lucy his wife and acknowledged the foregoing Mortgage to be their act; and at the same time before me also appeared Edward Franklin Frizzle and made oath in due form of Law that the consideration in the said mortgage is true and bona fide as therein set forth Reuben Warfield Received to be recorded on the 31st may 1859 at 11½ Oclock same day recorded and examined pr.
