whatsoever and will warrant and forever defend by these presents
       In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed
my seal this thirtieth day of March Eighteen hundred and fifty
nine

Be it remembered and I hereby certify that in this thirtieth day
of March Eighteen hundred and fifty nine before me the subscriber a
Justice of the Peace of said state and county personally appeared
James D Cooke and acknowledged the said instrument of
writing or bill of sale to be his act and deed and at the same time
and place also appeared before me Georgianna Williams wife
of Benjamin Williams the grantee in the said Bill of sale named
and made oath that the consideration set forth in the said bill
of sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth

James A Albaugh
I John B Gartrell of Howard County in
the state of Maryland in consideration of
one hundred and seventy five dollars paid
me by James A Albaugh of Carroll County
                          in said state do hereby bargain and sell to the said James A
                          Albaugh the following property to wit all my right and interest
                          in the entire crop of Tobacco being two fifths thereof now
                          on the farm of William Turner; one red and white cow; one
                          Calf; one lot of carpet, three bedsteads Beds and bedding; one
                          Cook stove; nine chairs; two tables; one Bureau; and one mantle
                          Clock all which are now in my possession; and I hereby covenant
                          and agree to deliver to said James A Albaugh his heirs or
                          assigns any and all of said goods and chattles whenever he
                          shall demand the same.  Witness my hand and seal this
                          nineteenth day of March eighteen hundred and fifty nine

                             State of Maryland Howard County Sct:
                          I hereby certify that on this nineteenth day of March Eighteen
                          hundred and fifty nine before the subscriber a Justice of
                          the Peace for Howard County aforesaid personally appeared
                          John B Bartrell and acknowledged the aforegoing Bill
                          of sale to be her act.  And at the same time personally
                          appeared James A Albaugh grantee within named
