State of Maryland Howard County
Be it remembered That on this first day of March 1859 before the subscriber
a justice of the Peace for said County appeared Henry G Brown and
acknowledged the foregoing Instrument of writing to be his act and deed
according to the true intent and meaning thereof and now at the same
time before me personally appeared also Samuel Brown the within
named bargainee and made oath in due form of Law that the consideration
set forth in the foregoing bill of sale is true and bona fide
as therein set forth.   In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed
my name on the day and year aforesaid

  Bond to
State of Maryland
Know all men by these presents that we Joseph B
Wingbigler William Allen, William J Timanus
Josiah Groves, Beal Helme and James Gaw
all of Howard County and state of Maryland
are held and firmly bound unto the state of Maryland in the full
and just sum of two thousand dollars current money to be paid to the
state of Maryland:  To the which payment well and truly to be made and
done, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators jointly
and severally, firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals and dated
this sixteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and fifty nine
       The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden
Jos B Winbigler appointed a constable in the second Election District
of Howard County do and shall well and faithfully execute all warrants
and other processes to him directed and delivered and shall also well
and truly pay and deliver to the person or persons entitled to receive
the same all sum or sums of money, tobacco goods and chattles or
other property by him levied, seized or taken agreeably to the directions
of the said warrant or process under which the same shall
have been levied, seized or taken and also shall keep and detain in
safe costody all and every person or persons committed to his costody
or by him taken in execution without suffering them or any of them
to escape or depart from his costody and shall also well and truly execute
the laws of this state then this obligation to be void and of none
effect else to remain in full force and virtue in law
